Designated premises supervisors (DPS)
Vary a designated premises supervisor
You'll need to vary the role of a DPS if they:
- no longer work at the business
- have had their licence suspended or revoked
How to apply
Before you start, you should read our DPS guidance notes PDF,128KB.
Applications cost £23 and copies must be sent to Chief Officer of Police at Thames Valley Police on the same day.
During your application you’ll be asked to upload:
- the original premises licence
- a DPS consent form (completed by the new DPS)
You should make sure you have these documents available before you begin.
You’ll be asked to register or log in to your account.
If you apply online, the police will automatically be notified as part of your application.
We'll confirm within 14 working days to let you know if your application was successful.
Next steps
After you've made your application, the police have 14 days to object to this on the grounds of the prevention of crime and disorder.
Appeals
Applicants and other parties may appeal a decision of the licensing committee. We'll invite both you and the police to attend.
Appeals must be lodged within 21 days of the date the applicant was informed of the committee’s decision at the local Magistrates Court.
