If you are having difficulty paying your business rates

If you are having difficulty paying your business rates, we can help you by:

• spreading your payments over 12 months rather than 10, which means smaller monthly payments
• coming up with a repayment plan that works better with your cash flow
• checking if you can get a business rates reduction
• putting you in touch with services that can give debt advice

If you do not pay your business rates for a long time, we will send you a final notice demanding payment.

If this happens, you may no longer be able to pay your business rates in instalments. You may have to pay your yearly bill in one lump sum.

If we still do not get payment, you be sent a summons to appear at the magistrate’s court. You may need to pay additional costs if this happens.
