About the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF)
Community and Place
One of the three priorities of the UKSPF is 'Community and Place' which aims to support residents through the cost of living crisis.
We will introduce measures to
- reduce the cost of living by improving energy efficiency
- combat fuel poverty
- combat climate change
Projects we're supporting in this priority
Our funding allocation for this investment priority focuses on delivering our Energy Doctor Programme.
Just under £2 million has been allocated to support the scheme until the end of March 2025.
The Energy Doctor project will undertake energy efficiency assessments for households in Buckinghamshire, free of charge, and make small-scale changes to boost household energy efficiency and reduce energy bills.
The Energy Doctor programme will initially target low-income private rental households where the properties have an energy performance certificate rating of D or lower. Many properties fall within the Opportunity Bucks focus areas which will be prioritised.
