Buckinghamshire Education Strategy 2022 to 2027
Developing the strategy
A review of the Education and Skills Strategy began in Summer 2021. To initially develop the strategy we:
- invited key stakeholders (including early years settings, schools, governors, educational professionals, FACT Bucks, Bucks Skills Hub and partners in the voluntary community sector) to provide feedback through an initial evaluation exercise in September 2021
- gathered feedback from young people and parents and carers at the Shout Out for SEND conference in October 2021
- evaluated and considered internal reviews and strategic action plans within our achievement and learning teams during Summer 2021
- gathered feedback from all the School Liaison Groups in November 2021
These activities informed the development of priorities for 2022 to 2027.
The initial feedback also confirmed that the strategy must:
- be closely aligned to specific existing strategies, policies and approaches
- have clear and measurable indicators so that its effectiveness and intended outcomes can be assessed
- take into account the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on education and identify the measures necessary to mitigate this
We also completed a 7 week public consultation in Spring 2022, which has informed the content of this strategy.
