Our action group aims are to:

• work in collaboration with Members, Town and Parish Councils, internal council services, external partners, and residents to focus on identified projects within the Denham, Gerrards Cross and The Chalfonts Community Board area related to Sustainability issues, including Social, Economic and Environmental projects
• understand local issues, agree priority objectives and support initiatives across the board area, as well as looking at pilot opportunities in line with Council priorities
• bring projects seeking to address sustainability to the group for scrutiny and if appropriate, make recommendations for support to a the Funding Panel

Our action group aims are to:

• consider submitted Transport Scheme Applications in order to present recommendations to the Community Board
• ensure concerns and issues around Highways and Infrastructure are discussed, and advice on next steps are given
• consider issues around community safety
• bring projects seeking to address community safety to the group for scrutiny and if appropriate, make recommendations for support to the Funding Panel

The group has been looking at making self defence classes freely available in the community. If you have a community safety issue, and would like to be part of the group, email [email protected]

The objectives of the group are to:

• bring projects seeking to address the priority to the group for scrutiny
• make recommendations for support to the Funding Panel where appropriate
• seek pilot opportunities in line with council priorities
• network, collaborate and form partnerships to deliver actions that meet objectives
• expand knowledge and expertise

Recent discussions have focussed on:

• volunteering
• combatting loneliness
• supporting the elderly
• dementia
• supporting youth
