Review of parishes and wards in Buckinghamshire

Review of the parish boundary between Burnham and Dorney

Background of the review

Following a request received from residents from Lake End Road in Lake End, Buckinghamshire Council’s Standards and General Purposes Committee agreed on 4 April 2024 that the proposal proceed to a Community Governance Review.

Proposal

Residents have requested that the boundary between Burnham and Dorney be changed to align with the M4 to better reflect the communities' identity.

The proposal would:

  • affect 7 houses in the area
  • increase the tax base for Dorney Parish Council by 7 households
  • decrease the tax base for Burnham Parish Council by 7 households

This proposal the proposal won’t cause any changes to the new Buckinghamshire Council wards from May 2025.

The existing boundary between Burnham and Dorney cuts around parts of the M4.
