Loss of gas supplies in Winslow

Last updated 4.30pm on Thursday 26 September

As you may be aware gas supplies to properties in the Winslow area have been affected over the last week as a result of water entering the gas network.

SGN has confirmed that there are still 62 properties who do not have gas supply. SGN is attempting to gain access to each of these properties to reconnect them to the gas supply. Where residents are not at home, calling cards are being left at the properties with numbers to call to book an engineer to attend. SGN is also urging anyone who may have gone to friends and family to return home or make contact with SGN to arrange access - the number to call is 0800 912 1717.

Current situation

SGN’s engineering teams are still on-site and will remain there over the next few days. SGN have apologised for the inconvenience this continues to cause.

For the latest information, see SGN’s updates, which will be posted here:

SGN have portable electric appliances for cooking and heating available at the drop-in centres for any customers registered on the priority service register.

SGN have confirmed that if residents have particular needs and their properties are no longer suitable while the gas is off, then SGN will put residents up in hotels.
