Report extremism

If you want to report a case of extremism, and you are in a situation that may become heated or violent, you should:

  • telephone the police on 999
  • contact 18000 if you are a textphone user
  • text the police on 999 (but you must be registered for the emergencySMS service)

Report extremism that is not an emergency

If you want to speak to specially trained police officers about extremism, but the situation is not an emergency, you can:

The line is open 9am to 5pm. Outside these hours, your call will be transferred to specialist counter terrorism officers.

Report your concerns about an adult

If you are worried that an adult may be affected by extremism, you can contact our safeguarding adults first response team by:

Report your concerns about a child

If you are worried that a child may be affected by extremism, you can contact our first response team by:

Report extremist material you have seen on the internet

You can report illegal or harmful information, pictures or videos you have seen on the internet by using the government website.

You do not have to give your name when making a report.
