Report hate crime
Research shows that many hate crimes are not reported.
But it is important that you report hate crime, both to protect your community and other people like you.

If a hate crime is happening now, you can:
- telephone the police on 999 if there is an emergency or the situation could get heated or violent
- telephone the police on 101 if your situation is not an emergency
- contact 18000 if you are a textphone user
- text the police on 999 (but you must register for the emergencySMS service first)
If you have been a victim of hate crime, or the case you would like to report is not an emergency, you can:
- telephone the police on 101
- make a report to the police online
- make a report at a police station (find your local police station)
- contact 18000 if you are a textphone user
- call the Victims First hotline on 0300 1234 148, or make a report using the Victims First website
You can make a report if you have:
- been a victim of online hate crime
- found inappropriate or offensive content on the internet
