If you have spotted a modern slavery situation that may become heated or violent, you should:
- telephone the police on 999
- contact 18000 if you are a textphone user
- text the police on 999 (but you must be registered for the emergencySMS service)
If you suspect a case of modern slavery, but the situation is not an emergency, you should:
- telephone the police on 101
- contact 18000 if you are a textphone user
Our first response team
If you are worried about a child who may be a victim of modern slavery, call our first response team on 01296 383 962 (or 0800 999 7677 outside working hours).
Our safeguarding adults team
If you are concerned about an adult who may be a victim of modern slavery, call our safeguarding adults team on 0800 137 915 (or 0800 999 7677 outside working hours).
If you want to report modern slavery, but you do not want to give your name, you can make an anonymous report by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Other ways to report modern slavery
You should report modern slavery to the police:
- make a report to the police online
- make a report at a police station (find your local police station)
