Sexual violence and harassment

Introduction

Sexual violence is a crime, no matter who commits it or where it happens.

Call 999 if you or someone else is in immediate danger.

‘Sexual violence’ is a term used to describe any sexual activity that happened without consent which means you did not agree to it.

This includes any kind of sexual activity or act (including online) that was unwanted or involved one or more of the following:

  • pressure
  • manipulation
  • bullying
  • intimidation
  • threats
  • deception
  • force

If you feel unsafe or threatened on a night out you can alert the bar staff by asking for Angela. The bar staff will defuse the situation or arrange to get you home safely.

All bars and pubs in the scheme will display a poster in their public toilets.
