9. Set up Council Tax payments
You'll usually have to pay Council Tax if you're 18 or over.
Council Tax helps to pay for local services
Your Council Tax payment helps to pay for:
- housing
- caring for people in need
- roads and transport
- libraries
- protecting our environment
- bin collections
- recycling
Tell us when you move
You need to tell us as soon as possible when you move.
If you do not tell us when you have moved, you may have backdated bills to pay.
