Apply for money off Council Tax if you are a care worker
A care worker will be disregarded from Council Tax if they:
- provide care and support to someone on behalf of either a Local Authority, the Common Council of the City of London, the Council of the Isles of Scilly, the Crown or a Charitable Body
- are employed by the person they provide care to and were introduced to them by one of the above organisations
- are employed to provide care for at least 24 hours a week
- are paid no more than £44 per week
- are resident in premises provided by either the relevant body (ie the charity) or by the person they care for
Evidence required
You will need to attach a contract of employment to your application which should show your hours and pay.
