Apply for money off Council Tax if you are a school or college leaver

If you or someone you live with is a school or college leaver, you may be eligible for money off Council Tax.

A school or college leaver is a person who:

• is under 20 years old
• stopped studying a full-time course of education or a qualifying course of education after 30 April and before 1 November in any year

Although intended to cover the gap between leaving school and starting further education, there is no requirement for that person to actually be intending on going back into education.
