Hire a mobility scooter while shopping or for long-term use

Hire a wheelchair, scooter, powerchair or walker free of charge through ShopMobility to help you get around.

You must be a member of the Aylesbury Shopmobility scheme. To join you must provide the following information:

• your personal details (for example, name, address, contact information, etc)
• photographic proof of your identity

You will need to call us or email us to book a scooter in advance

You or the person taking responsibility, must attend in person to sign any documents needed.

We will then train you on how to use the equipment.

We're located on level 1 of the Upper Hundreds car park. Our address is:

When you arrive at the Upper Hundreds car park, look out for a 'ShopMobility' sign.

Equipment available for loan includes:

• walkers (helps to give stability when walking)
• 3-wheel scooters (if you need more leg room, maximum weight is 25 stone)
• 4-wheel scooters (offers slightly better stability, maximum weight is 25 stone)
• *Pride Colt Pursuit mobility scooter (maximum weight is 25 stone)
• travel scooters (small transportable scooter, maximum weight is 20 stone)
• self-propelled wheelchairs (with quick release wheels, collapsible for easy transport)
• transit wheelchairs (for those unable to push themselves, easily folded and transported)
• powered wheelchairs (small turning circle, suitable for right and left-handed users)
• power assisted wheelchairs (with an added power pack - not suitable for users who wish to self-propel.

All equipment must be returned 30 minutes before our shop closes.

*The pride cold pursuit is only available for plus size users.

Wheelchairs and scooters loaned on short term hire must only be used within Aylesbury town centre and be returned on the same day of hire. This is:

• 3:30pm on weekdays
• 12:30pm on Saturdays

You can loan our equipment for use outside of Aylesbury town centre, by paying the relevant fee and deposit below.

We do not have a maximum length of time for long term hire, when equipment is paid for in advance.

Although we are unable to advise professionally on mobility and daily living aids, we are always happy to try and answer questions or put you in contact with someone who can help.
