About the park and facilities
The park is a large attractive open space with interesting trees and well-maintained grass areas ideal for picnics and informal games.
The park has a:
- fenced play space (for ages up to 5) with a range of play experiences
- large wooden climbing structure (for ages 8 and over)
- multi-use games area (tarmac surface) for football and basketball
- grass cricket pitch (available for hire during the cricket season)
- community centre (available for hire)
- large play space, including:
- a swinging roundabout (Mobilus)
- flat swing seats
- zip wire
Inclusive play items include:
- large disc roundabout
- nest swings
Access and parking
There are hard-surfaced paths around the outside of the park and leading to the play facilities.
There are some car park spaces in the Alfred Rose Community Centre car park.
You can access the park via Manor Road.
Damage or vandalism
Occasionally sites may be subject to misuse or acts of vandalism, including:
- broken glass being left on the ground
- damaged play equipment
- graffiti
