About the park and facilities
The park is a large open space with well-maintained grass areas. It is ideal for informal games.
The park has:
- an interesting play space (for ages 2 to 14) with landscaped areas including:
- mounds
- ditches
- a teen shelter
- a multi-use games area
- a modern outdoor calisthenics fitness area
Inclusive play items include a:
- wheelchair accessible roundabout
- nest swing
- small wide slide
Access and parking
There are hard-surfaced path running through the play space and across the open space, linking between Churchill Avenue and Fremantle Road.
Damage or vandalism
Occasionally sites may be subject to misuse or acts of vandalism, which can result in damaged play equipment, graffiti, broken glass or other such issues. In the event that you find a problem at one of our play spaces please let us know.
How the park was funded
The improvements to the park cost £53,000, funded with:
- a £35,000 grant from SITA Trust’s Enhancing Communities Programme (used for the multi-use games area)
- £18,000 from developers
