About the park and facilities

The park is a large strip of open space which runs next to the Aylesbury Arm of the Grand Union canal. It's linked to the town centre via the canal towpath. It's ideal for walking.

The park has:

  • an open-access play space (for ages 2 to 14)
  • a large multi-play unit including:
    • tube slide
    • zipwire

Inclusive play items include:

  • various inclusive swings
  • a wheelchair accessible roundabout
  • communication panel

Access and parking

It has good access via hard-surfaced paths off of Oakfield Road and Wingate Walk.

It links to the Oakfield Road teenage play provision (a short walk under the bridge).

There's a small designated car parking area off of Wingate Walk.

Damage or vandalism

Occasionally sites may be subject to misuse or acts of vandalism, including:

  • broken glass being left on the ground
  • damaged play equipment
  • graffiti
