The park is on Rutland Avenue, Castlefield, near the Spearing Road service road.
It has a playground and ball court.
There are good views of High Wycombe across the valley.
History of the site
The castle is a medieval "ringwork" (small fortress). It was built on a site that has probably been occupied since the Bronze Age and is a scheduled ancient monument site.
Damage or vandalism
Occasionally sites may be subject to misuse or acts of vandalism, including:
- broken glass being left on the ground
- damaged play equipment
- graffiti
