Using library computers and wifi
Using library computers
Library members
Library members can use library computers for 1 hour per day for free. After the first hour, you will be charged 50p per 15 minutes. To use a library computer, you must bring your library card. Computer access stops 15 minutes before the library closes.
Some of our libraries offer a remote printing service which allows library members to send prints through from their own device. Visit our Print My Documents website for a list of participating libraries.
Non-library members
If you are not a member of the library, you can use the library computers at a cost of 50p per 15 minutes. Computer access stops 15 minutes before the library closes.
Children under 16
To use library computers, children under 16 must have their library card and must have permission from their parent or guardian. Children under 8 must have a parent or carer with them when using the internet on library computers.
An issue has affected public computer use for a number of accounts belonging to under 16s, enabling temporary access where they may have been restricted. We are currently addressing this issue and will notify affected customers as soon as possible.
Keeping safe online
Using wifi at the library
All Buckinghamshire libraries offer free wifi. On your device, connect to COUNCIL GUEST and follow the on-screen instructions.
Buckinghamshire Council does not accept any responsibility for the availability of wifi, nor any liability for any loss resulting from the non-availability of the wifi service.
Some community libraries offer wifi independently of the council. Check the local login process locally for further details.
