Buckinghamshire Council Secures Injunction Against Persistent Beggar Lee Davis

Buckinghamshire Council has obtained an injunction against Lee Davis, due to him persistently harassing members of the public by begging for money and goods over a long period.

Davis has failed to take advantage of multiple offers of support and, despite numerous warnings by the council and Police, he has continued with this behaviour. As a last resort and to protect the community, the council has successfully applied for the injunction, which excludes Davis from High Wycombe town centre and prohibits him from begging.

The order (which was served on Mr Davis today, 26 November) has been granted for a period of two years.

Davis is prohibited from begging and is also excluded from entering the exclusion zone, marked on the map below, unless he has a professional appointment.

We are appealing to members of the public to report any breaches of the Injunction directly to Thames Valley Police on 101 or to Buckinghamshire Council by e-mailing [email protected]

Councillor Peter Brazier, Deputy Cabinet Member for Community Safety said:

"We want to assure the community that we take this issue very seriously. Our commitment to addressing anti-social behaviour remains steadfast, and we will continue to take necessary actions to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents."
