Looking for a change of job or career?
We are pleased to announce that we are holding our third event, designed to support local residents into work.
The Buckinghamshire Jobs, Skills and Opportunities Fair will be taking place on Thursday 6 June 2024, from 1.30pm to 6pm at Buckinghamshire New University (Aylesbury Campus), 59 Walton Street, Aylesbury, HP21 7QG. For anyone interested in attending this free event they can still secure a place now at:
There are still a few exhibitor spaces available and these can be booked by emailing: [email protected].
The June event in Aylesbury is aimed at anyone of any age who is unemployed or is currently working and looking for a change of job or career. It follows on from last year’s successful September event which was attended by thirty exhibitors, including employers, training providers and support organisations who met with over 400 members of the public.
We have arranged for a variety of exhibitors to attend the event - employers predominantly based in Buckinghamshire, or companies that have a presence in the county and would have opportunities for those that can travel from Aylesbury - as well as training providers and support organisations, who will help deliver the workshops and provide wider information and guidance. There will also be seminar-style sessions delivered by Buckinghamshire Adult Learning, and Buckinghamshire Council’s Talent Attraction team will be on hand to promote opportunities at the Council.
The event is being attended by the Department for Work and Pensions and Jobcentre Plus who will be hosting sessions aimed at the over-50s.
We are promoting the event via social media, printed media and advertising and some outdoor advertising. The social media posts can be seen on X, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn - @BucksCouncil.
