Bus diversions
Road Closures in Charndon, Calvert and Steeple Claydon area
When: Monday 21 October 2024 to June 2025
What: In addition to the current long term closure of School Hill, Calvert; Gawcott Road, Calvert will also be closed during the above period for HS2 works. As such routes 16 and 18 will be diverting and while all stops will be served delays are likely.
Chetwode and Preston Bissett
When: Monday 27 January to Friday 21 March
What: This road will be closed for works by HS2. Bus route 133 will divert missing stops in Chetwode and Preston Bissett.
Lines Hill, Aston Abbotts
When: Wednesday 22 January to Friday 21 February
What: This road will be closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus routes 153 and 154 will divert via Bushmead Road missing the stops in Cublington, Aston Abbotts and on Aston Abbotts Road, Weedon.
Station Road, Quainton
When: Saturday 25 January to Sunday 23 February
What: This road will be closed for works by HS2. Bus route 16 will divert missing the stops on Station Road and enter and leave Quainton via Blackgrove Road.
Stops in Waddesdon will be served before Quainton on journeys towards Aylesbury, and Quainton will be served before Waddesdon on journeys from Aylesbury.
Passengers are advised that buses travelling towards Aylesbury may serve stops in Waddesdon up to 10 minutes earlier than usual. Buses in Quainton towards Steeple Claydon may serve stops up to 10 minutes earlier.
Ivinghoe Aston Road, Slapton
When: Wednesday 29 and Thursday 30 January, 9.30am to 3.30pm
What: This road will be closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus route 163 will divert missing the Swan PH stops in Ivinghoe Aston.
World's End Lane, Weston Turville
When: Wednesday 29 and Thursday 30 January, 9.30am to 3.30pm
What: This road will be closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus route 50 will divert via the Wendover Road missing all stops in Weston Turville at these times.
Cheddington Road, Pitstone
When: Saturday 1 February
What: This road will be closed for works by Anglian Water. Bus route 62 will divert via Wellington Place missing the Playing Fields stops on Marsworth Road.
Risborough Road, Terrick/Stoke Mandeville
When: Monday 3 February, 10pm to 5am
What: This road will be closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Night time journeys on bus routes 130 and 300 will divert via Nash Lee Road, Wendover Road and Station Road missing all stops between Terrick Crossroads and Lower Road.
Ivinghoe Aston Road, Slapton
When: Monday 3 and Tuesday 4 February, 9.30am to 3pm
What: This road will be closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus route 163 will divert missing the stops in Ivinghoe Aston on these days.
Ickford Road, Shabbington
When: Monday 3 and Tuesday 4 February, 9.30am to 3pm
What: This road will be closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus route 110 will divert missing the Ickford Road stops in Shabbington and all stops in Ickford and Worminghall. Passengers using the Home Close stop on Crendon Road are advised that buses will call here about 15 minutes earlier than scheduled.
Winslow Road, Little Horwood
When: Monday 3 to Friday 7 February, 9.30am to 3.30pm
What: This road will be closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. bus route 50 will turn after serving The Crown PH stop back towards Great Horwood and travel to Winslow via Great Horwood Road.
Rutland Avenue, High Wycombe
When: Wednesday 5 to Friday 7 February, 9.30am to 3pm
What: This road will be closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus route 33 will divert via New Road, Mill End Road and Desborough Avenue. All stops on Rutland Avenue, Cross Road, Spearing Road and Copyground Lane will be missed.
Waddesdon Hill, Waddesdon/Upper Winchendon
When: Friday 7 to Friday 28 February
What: This road will be closed for works by HS2. Bus route 112 will divert via Westcott missing the Waddesdon Hill and Upper Winchendon stops.
Cheddington Road, Pitstone
When: Monday 10 February, 9.30am to 3.30pm
What: This road will be closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus route 62 will divert via Wellington Place missing the Playing Fields stops on Marsworth Road.
A40 Oxford Road, Denham
When: Monday 10 to Friday 14 February, 10pm to 6am
What: This road will be closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus route 102 will need to divert missing all stops on the A40 between Beaconsfield and New Denham.
Gilbert's Hill, St Leonards
When: Wednesday 12 February
What: This road will be closed for works by UKPN. Bus route 199 will divert missing the stops in St Leonards and Buckland Common on this day.
The Broadway, Old Amersham
When: Sunday 16 February, 8am to 5.30pm
What: Due to a monthly market this road will be closed. Bus routes 1 and 1A will divert missing the stops on The Broadway, Whielden Street and the Hospital stops on Whielden Lane.
