Bus service disruptions and stop closures

When: Monday 21 October 2024 to Friday 28 March 2025

What: In addition to the current long term closure of School Hill, Calvert; Gawcott Road, Calvert will also be closed during the above period for HS2 works. As such routes 16 and 18 will be diverting and while all stops will be served delays are likely. From 28 October, route 18 will operate to a revised timetable.

When: Monday 28 October to Friday 20 December

What: This road is closed for works by HS2. Bus route 16 will enter and leave Quainton via Blackgrove Road, serving Waddesdon before Quainton on journeys towards Aylesbury, and serving Quainton before Waddesdon on journeys from Aylesbury. Passengers are advised that buses travelling towards Aylesbury will serve stops in Waddesdon up to 10 minutes earlier than usual. Buses from Quainton towards Steeple Claydon will serve stops up to 10 minutes earlier.

When: Monday 4 November 2024 to Friday 28 February 2025

What: Due works to demolish a building close to the bus stops H1 and H2, buses will divert via Upper Hundreds Way and miss the High Street stops during this time. Passengers are advised to use the Bus Station or the stops on Exchange Street instead.

When: Monday 4 to Friday 15 November, 9.30am to 2.30pm

What: This road will be closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus route 104 will divert via Narcot Lane during these times missing all stops on Deanway, High Street in Chalfont St Giles, all stops along the A413, plus Market Place, Gold Hill North and Nicol Road in Chalfont St Peter.

When: Thursday 14 to Sunday 17 November

What: This road has been closed for emergency works by Thames Water. Bus route 850 will divert on journeys towards High Wycombe missing the stops on Oxford Road, Queen's Road and Dean Street.

When: from 8.30pm on Friday 15 November to 5.30am on Monday 18 November

What: This road is closed between Coldharbour Way and the Bugle Horn for works by HS2. Bus routes will need to divert as follows:

Bus route 110 will divert via the Bicester Road and Upper Winchendon, missing all stops between Aylesbury and Cuddington.

Bus route X20 will operate a temporary timetable with journeys diverting via Princes Risborough and Aston Sandford, missing all stops between Churchill Avenue in Aylesbury and Woodways in Haddenham. View the temporary timetable for Bus Route X20 (PDF, 265 KB)

A shuttle service will operate hourly on the Saturday and Sunday between the stop adjacent to the Bugle Horn PH in Stone and Thame High Street, where passengers can connect to the diverted buses to Aylesbury and Oxford. View the shuttle service for Bugle Horn and Thame (PDF, 161 KB)

When: Saturday 16 November

What: Due to the Christmas lights event buses will be unable to serve stops on Frogmoor, Oxford Street, the High Street and Castle Street on this day. Passengers are advised to use the Bus Station instead.

When: Sunday 17 November, 8am to 5.30pm

What: Due to a monthly market this road will be closed. Bus routes 1 and 1A will divert missing stops on The Broadway, Whielden Street and the Hospital stops on Whielden Lane.

When: Sunday 17 to Wednesday 20 November, 9am to 3pm

What: This road will be closed between Cricketers Way and Churchway for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus route 121 will divert via Woodways and Stanbridge Road missing the stops on Churchway.

When: Monday 18 to Friday 29 November

What: This road will be closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus route 583 will divert via Swallow Street and Love Lane missing the Langley Park Road stop.

When: Wednesday 20 to Friday 22 November, 9.30am to 3.30pm

What: This road will be closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus routes 111, 112 and 113 will divert turning in Brill and missing the stops on The Square. Passengers are advised to use the stops on Church Street instead.

When: Wednesday 20 November, 8pm to 6am

What: This road will be closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus route X20 will divert via Portway Road and Ford Road missing all stops from the Bugle Horn PH to Woodways in Haddenham.

When: Friday 22 November, 10am to 11pm

What: This road will be closed for a Christmas event. All buses will miss the Broadway stops between these hours. Passengers are advised to use the stops on Red Lion Street, Broad Street or for routes towards Chartridge, Park Road.

When: Friday 22 November, 1pm to 11pm

What: This road will be closed for a Christmas event. Buses will divert as follows:

• Routes 106, 107, 607 and BB12 will divert via Kingsway, the A413 Amersham Road, and the A40 resuming normal route on Fulmer Road and Windsor Road (and reverse). All stops on Packhorse Road and the 'Windsor Road' and 'East Common' stops on Oxford Road will be missed.
• Route 104 will divert via Kingsway and the A413 Amersham Road, missing all stops on Packhorse Road and all stops on Oxford Road in Gerrards Cross and Tatling End until the 'Mount Lane' stops.

When: Saturday 23 November, 12pm to 10pm

What: This road will be closed for a Christmas event. The afternoon 177 journey will divert missing the stops on London Road and The High Street.
