Appeal a parking fine if you were parked in a designated disabled car park space without a Blue Badge
There are some scenarios where appealing your parking fine (also known as a Parking Charge Notice or PCN) could be successful and some where you should consider paying instead.
Where it's unlikely an appeal would be successful
If you were parked in a designated disabled person's car park space without a Blue Badge, you will still be liable to pay the PCN if:
- you had displayed a Blue Badge but had not paid for a ticket when the car park tariff required it
- you were loading or unloading
Where your appeal may be successful
Appealing the PCN does not guarantee the PCN will be cancelled. Each case is reviewed individually on its own merit and in consideration of the circumstances.
