Highway policies

Buckinghamshire Highways have created highway infrastructure policies and documents.

These set out our approach to running the highway network.

We incorporate the guidance in the national highway infrastructure code of practice in our 'highway services' and 'asset management' policies.

Alongside these we have 4 service policies, these cover:

• network safety
• network management
• safety inspections
• winter service

In April 2023 Buckinghamshire Council changed its contracts and rebranded its highway service from Transport for Buckinghamshire (TfB) to Buckinghamshire Highways. The policies on this webpage originally referenced TfB, but have been updated to Buckinghamshire Highway to reflect this change. There were no other changes to the policy contents.
