“Britain has been a melting pot of many architectural styles and influences. Latterly the municipal approach to the fore in the 20th c created a stark futuristic utilitarian environment, crude and unwelcoming. These awards seek to present examples across Buckinghamshire which celebrate and recognise a resurgence of public and private design respectful of the users, neighbours, their environment and local characteristics. These awards are an opportunity to regain pleasure in our environment and I am pleased to be able to join with the other judges in putting forward examples for a public vote”.
Councillor Patrick Hogan, Cabinet Member for Culture
Congratulations to everyone involved in the design and execution of the winning projects for achieving a significant contribution to the local environment.
