CIL guidance for parish and town councils
Introduction
The 2010 Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) Regulation is changing.
These changes will mean the district council will now pass 15% of CIL receipts to relevant parish and town councils. This rises to 25% in areas with an adopted Neighbourhood Development Plan.
This money will be spent on infrastructure or anything else that will address the demands that development places on an area.
The council will pass funds to the parish every 6 months. The parish council will report every year on what they received and how they've spent it.
