School attendance guidance

You have to get permission from the head teacher if you want to take your child out of school during term time.

You can only do this if there are exceptional circumstances.

It’s up to the head teacher to decide if your reason is exceptional.

If you decide to take your child on holiday during term time and without permission, the head teacher may ask that we issue you with a penalty notice.
