Request a smaller or larger bin

Use this service to request smaller or larger bins.

Anybody can apply for a smaller bin. These can be easier to move or fit into smaller spaces.

You can apply for a larger general waste bin if any of the following apply:

• the household consists of 5 or more permanent residents
• you have at least 2 children in nappies
• any permanent resident of the household has a medical or health condition which results in the production of extra waste

For recycling, we will consider all requests for extra recycling bins, bags or boxes or food waste caddies. You will need to pay a fee for each container.

If you're eligible, we will deliver the new bin and collect the old bin within 10 working days.

Make sure you leave the old bin at the boundary of your property ready for collection.

If for some reason the old bin wasn't collected when the new one was delivered, you can request a bin removal.
