The graph below illustrates the number of compliments each directorate has received. The overall total is lower compared to the 2022/23 figure, which stood at 865.
This is part of a consistent decrease since 2020/21.

Total number of compliments = 626
Although the overall number of compliments is lower the percentage of compliments in relation to the number of complaints remains consistent with previous years at 28%.
The most significant number of compliments continues to be directed towards Adults & Health. A substantial portion of these commendations is for the Occupational Therapists and Home Independence Teams. Additionally, individual Social Workers are often praised for their challenging work, with recipients expressing gratitude for the excellent service provided.
The reasons for the overall decline aren’t clear although it mirrors the reduction in the number of complaints received. Every service area saw a drop, with Children's seeing the smallest at 14% and Communities experiencing the largest at 35%.
