Flag Protocol

The Royal Standard should be flown from council buildings which are being visited by a member of The Royal Family. It should only be flown for the duration of their visit, being raised, and lowered on arrival and departure. The Civic and Lieutenancy Officer will make arrangements with the Household of the Member of the Royal Family visiting to make ensure that the standard arrives at least 48 hours prior to the visit. The Royal Standard takes precedence over all other flags.
