Whistleblowing Policy and Procedure for Schools
12. Misuse of the policy
7.1 The Council or Governing Body will take seriously any concerns raised that are subsequently proven to have been made maliciously. Any employee or worker who is found to have acted maliciously may be subject to the Schools’ Conduct and Discipline Policy and Procedure.
7.2 If, however, an employee or worker raises a concern from an honest and reasonable belief that it is in the public interest that is not later confirmed by investigations, no action will be taken against that individual.
