Privacy and Demand Responsive Transport (Village Connect, Aylesbury)
This Privacy Notice explains how the Demand Responsive Transport service at Buckinghamshire Council (the data controller) will use the personal information we collect about you when you use this service. This policy applies to our Village Connect service and its application, developed by Padam Mobility.
Information held about you
We can hold the following information on you:
- your name
- your contact details, including phone number and email address
- contact we have had with you (such as correspondence)
If you are a registered user and have a complaint about the service, we may hold the following additional information:
- your date of birth
- health or social care status
Why we need your information
We need your information to:
- manage the delivery of a demand led transport service
- ensure complaints and queries are dealt with quickly and efficiently
- analyse the performance of the service
What is the lawful basis for us to process your information?
The lawful basis for processing the personal information under the Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR is:
- Article 6(1)(a) Your Consent. You’re able to remove or withdraw your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting [[email protected] or 0300 131 600
- Article 6(1)(e) We need it to perform a Public Task
- Article 9(2)(g) Substantial public interest
How we share and process your information
We will share your information, if appropriate, with:
- third parties (data processors) contracted by Buckinghamshire Council to work on behalf of the Council to support the Demand Responsive Transport service - such third parties include:
- We Move
- Padam Mobility
- Thames Valley Transport Services
- other bodies in connection with the prevention of crime, criminal or legal investigations or proceedings including fraud (and the National Fraud Initiative) or regulatory functions (such as the Local Government Ombudsman)
- other relevant services within the council
We will securely hold your information and only keep it for as long as is necessary. Where information is no longer needed it will be confidentially disposed of.
The Council does transfer personal data that is processed for the purposes of this Privacy Notice to countries outside of the territorial scope of UK data protection laws, including:
- EEA countries
Automated decision making
We do not carry out any automated decision making in relation to this information.
